A family grill on the West Bank of Demerara, serving the flavors we grew up with.

Our story

From a backyard grill
to New Road

West Side Grill started the way most good Guyanese food does — with a drum grill, a bag of charcoal and family who wouldn't stop asking for seconds. What began as weekend cookouts for friends in Vreed-en-Hoop became a stall, and then the grill you find today at 115 New Road.

We still season everything by hand with our own green seasoning. We still cook over real fire. And every cut we serve is halal, so every family can sit at the same table.
